Charleston Pipe Band Veterans' Day Observance

This Veterans’ Day, join the Charleston Pipe Band at the intersection of King and Calhoun in observance of the hundredth anniversary of Armistice Day. Charleston Pipe Band is internationally recognized as the oldest continuously operating police pipe band in the Southeast. This free demonstration of traditional pipe tunes coincidies with many groups overseas, also enlisting military and civic bagpipe bands to play “When the Battle is Over,” marking the centinnial of the end of World War I. Additionally, the band sells poppy lapel pins to benefit the South Carolina Chapter of the USO.
