A paws-atively people-friendly dog park
“Most dog parks are just fenced in yards—pets might be happy to stay for hours, but there’s nothing to keep the people there,” says John Harper, owner of Sky Dogs Family Dog Park, which is utterly different. Opened two years ago in Summerville, it offers an expansive play space filled with separate areas for small and large dogs, a swimming hole, agility course, motorized lure course, and a clean-up station—and that’s just for the four-legged patrons.
For $3 per person (memberships are available, too), humans can relax in shaded picnic areas, entertain themselves with free WiFi and cornhole games, or belly up to the snack and beverage bar, where this time of year, outdoor flat-screen TVs are usually tuned to football.
