The second annual Brewvival treats beer geeks to specialty and hard-to-find suds


Thirty top breweries, 100 rare and specialty beers, 1,500 attendees. It takes a full-fledged suds town to pull off an event like Brewvival, and last year’s inaugural shindig proved Charleston is just that. This February 26, favorite craft breweries—such as New Belgium, Bell’s, and Terrapin Beer Company—will again converge on the grounds of Coast Brewery, giving locals a chance to indulge in hard-to-find beverages plus food, music, and talks by industry pioneers.

“Brewvival showcases extraordinarily high-quality brewers who are revealing special creations not normally available,” says Scott Shor of The Charleston Beer Exchange, which teamed up with Coast to produce the event. “The festival’s atmosphere embraces beer geekery, appealing to both seasoned beer enthusiasts and novices.”


And this year, in addition to pours of American Wild Ale and Imperial IPA, attendees can enjoy a wider food selection, shorter lines, and a greater number of portable toilets. So bring a lawn chair, a refillable water bottle (to stay green and hydrated), and a designated driver for an afternoon of liquid artistry.
