The Love of the Nightingale

Fall in love with the Greek myth of Procne, Philomele, and Tereus, as retold by Timerlake Wertenbaker and directed by Evan Parry.  The College of Charleston Theater Department production tells the tale of beautiful sister-princesses as the king marries one sibling, only to become smitten with the other. Discuss the performance, which weaves a complex tale of sexual awakening and violence, with the cast, director, and designers at the Audience Talkback on opening night at 7:30 p.m. Emmett Robinson Theatre, College of Charleston, 54 St. Philip St. Thursday-Saturday, 7:30pm; Sunday, 3pm. $15; $10 senior/CofC faculty/staff/student.
