With the flash of a camera, Cecil J. Williams, whose work has appeared in JetTime, and Newsweek, captured picture after picture of Judge Matthew Perry, tracing the life of a Civil Rights Movement hero. View these images and see how Judge Perry worked to help integrate Clemson University, represented jailed students from Orangeburg, and donated his own time, strength, and passion to the cause, all leading to his appointment as the first African-American lawyer to serve the United States Military Court of Appeals.
