Sound of Charleston: Holiday Edition

Well before the Beach Boys and Bruce Springsteen added their own twists, holiday tunes played an important role in celebrating the season. Sound of Charleston, known for performing great music that defines the Holy City’s musical heritage, presents four special concerts this month, including gospel spirituals, music heard on Civil War campgrounds, and more. After the show, meet the performers and sip on traditional mulled cider. Circular Congregational Church, 150 Meeting St. Friday, 7pm. $28; $25 senior/military; $16 student; free for child under 13.
