Once a hub of Civil Rights history, it now faces demolition due to neglect. Walk along Columbus and America streets and discover why there’s more to Charleston’s first suburbs than meets the eye. The second in a series of five historic markers from the Civil Rights era will be unveiled. Meet at Trident Technical College, Palmer Campus, 66 Columbus St. Saturday, 10am-noon. $20; $15 member.
