Wahine is Hawaiian for “water woman,” and you can expect to see a ton of water-loving ladies at Folly Beach for this competition benefiting Surfers Healing, a foundation for autistic children. The Folly Beach Wahine Classic, in conjunction with the Eastern Surfing Association, showcases female athletes in all their shredding glory in shortboard, longboard, and open heats. And in honor of the charity, autistic children ride tandem with some of the Lowcountry’s best female surfers. Head to the beach for sun, surfing, music, and good eats. The Washout, Folly Beach.
