Charleston County Parks and Recreation: The Junior Naturalist Program
Kids are getting their hands a little dirty this fall on salt marsh investigations, insect safaris, and barrier island explorations. Let them take a break from the books and explore what the Lowcountry has to offer with hands-on education. These learning opportunities are held at various Charleston County Park locations with instructors who utilize inquiry-based learning to help kids discover, journal and draw the Lowcountry's unique environment. After attending six of the eight programs, they will be certified as Junior Naturalists. Ages eight-12. Adult chaperones are welcome to attend free of charge. Locations and times vary. $12; $10 CCR.
