Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), more commonly known as ‘Lou Gehrig’s Disease,” is an illness that affects a person’s motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord. Eight years ago, Charleston’s own musician Graham Whorley lost his sister to ALS. “Band together” with South Carolina’s ALS chapter, founded in 2006, and local musical talents to raise funds for those living with the disease and their caregivers. Along with Graham will be playing the Ryan Bonner Band, The Hawkes, Faces for Radio, Brent Pace for Mayor, Johnny Mac Booty Ranch, ADANDE African Drum and Dance Group, Dangermuffin and special guests Juke Joint Johnny, Smoky Weiner, and Mark Bryan from Hootie and the Blowfish.
