Interracial marriage is so commonplace today. But did you ever wonder what it was like in a time where race was highly judged? Director David Hallatt presents Michael Bettencourt's tale of a white man and a black woman defying social norms by marrying in the early 20th century.  The story of their struggle in rural North Carolina is sure to stir emotions as they battle society's prejudices and their community's discrimination against their brave decision of love.  Footlight Players Theatre, 20 Queen St. September 21-22, 27-29; October 4-6, 8pm.
