Event Details

While one critic compares New York City chef Paul Liebrandt to a “pianist who has found a dozen extra keys,” another says his food is “the result of a failed science experiment.” With dishes such as “eel, violets, and chocolate,” his menu is undoubtedly eccentric. Catch a documentary shedding light on the chef’s creative process, as well as the cutthroat world of haute cuisine. Recital Hall, Simons Center for the Arts, College of Charleston, 54 St. Philip St. Thursday, 7pm. Free. (843)953-4422, www.halsey.cofc.edu
