Event Details

The Festival, held at our downtown campus in the heart of Charleston’s historic district, is a celebration of the extraordinary skill and artistry of ACBA faculty, students, and master craftspeople.

A 2012 recipient of the “Heroes of the New South” award by Southern Living, ACBA educates and trains artisans in traditional building arts to foster exceptional craftsmanship and encourage the preservation, enrichment and understanding of the world’s architectural heritage through a liberal arts education.

The MBA Festival defines the role of the modern artisan and celebrates craftspeople, the vital link in insuring the future by preserving the past. This year’s festival will feature nationally-known companies such as Cathedral Stone and Lie-Nielson Toolworks as well as presentations by the Midwest Tool Collector’s Association and noted decorative artists Allen and Ina Brosseau Marx.

With recent national and international exposure in Southern Living Magazine, CBS News, the Travel Channel, and Monocle Magazine, ACBA expects strong attendance at this year’s event, ensuring greater opportunities for sponsor visibility.

Join other valued members of the community including the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs, Ziff Properties, Freeland Construction, Bulldog Tours and Peters Paints and become a partner in the preservation, study and celebration of the building arts.

Free.
