Directed by Mr. Ruben Camacho, The Youth Orchestra of the LowCountry (YOLOW) involves talented young musicians from the tri-county area committed to learning and performing the great works of symphonic music.  YOLOW members experience the thrill of the artistic spirit as they interact with professional musicians and participate in the rigorous process of understanding a complex piece of music from initial reading to live performance.  In addition to developing the musical talents of its members, YOLOW promotes valuable life skills such as hard work, dedication, and the ability to work together to produce something remarkable.

According to Mr. Camacho, “YOLOW should be the trusted place where every kid in our community can develop all of his or her potential in music.” YOLOW is committed to contributing excellence to the Charleston area's educational system and culture.
