You are here
Whew! We’re in the midst of hammering out the next issue and haven’t posted in a while…so hello, again, and merry everything to you! One of the things I’m most excited about is that we’re pulling together a real-life brides special section in which we feature scores of couples who wed here, some who were DIY-types, others who teamed up with local wedding designers, and lots who shared their money-stretching tips with us. Very cool, very real stuff!
And while I’ve been neck-deep in those kinds of stories, this little gem came into my inbox from Planter’s Inn here in Charleston. I love this place! It’s where I got my dad to stay when he first visited here…just so I could meet him and my stepmom for dinner at the hotel’s restaurant—Peninsula Grill. That nationally acclaimed, amazing restaurant (I gift their to-die-for, award winning coconut cake slices often), with its velvet walls, Lowcountry dishes, and impeccable service is where my sweetheart and I had our first little anniversary dinner this year. When they came out with the dessert plates with “Happy Anniversary” written in chocolate around the edges, I melted.
Ahem. So where was I? Oh, yes, my inbox. The Planter’s Inn (a Travel & Leisure favorite luxury hotel with 64 rooms right in the center of walkable Charleston) is offering a really smart “weddingmoon” package. Here are the details.
The package includes:
•On-site, on-staff event planning and coordinating
•A ceremony officiate
•Bridal bouquet and groom’s boutonnière
•Ceremony music (usually a string trio or quartet)
•Location fees for both the ceremony and the reception
•A three-hour reception including food and beverage from Peninsula Grill, personal flowers, and a DJ and/or band
•Wedding night suite for the newlyweds
Rates begin at $5,000 for 25 guests (tax and tips not included). To speak to a wedding coordinator, call (843) 579-1678, and for more information, visit plantersinn.com.
With such turnkey offerings, the hotel’s primo location and impeccable appointments, and the nationally acclaimed restaurant, this is a brilliant one-stop luxury wedding shop for engaged couples at a really competitive price. Just thought we’d pass it along! Especially to anyone out there newly engaged this time of year and looking to our fair city as the place to say “I do!”
And till we post again, we hope that you all enjoy a little cold weather coziness and lots of warm romance.
P.S. Did he just pop the question? Congratulations! Submit your engagement to our website for free! Why wait till the wedding announcement comes out to proclaim the good news?
